Pom Oliver brings a wealth of experience and a multifaceted skill set to the team as the Deputy Leader. With a strong background in film production, Pom will be at the helm of directing all filming, photography, and editing for the expedition. Her keen eye for detail and storytelling ensures that the visual documentation of the journey will be both compelling and informative.

Known affectionately as "Nursie" on previous polar expeditions, Pom will also be responsible for running the physiological data gathering, focusing specifically on the psychological impact of the expedition on the team members, Her dual role in both creative and scientific aspects of the expedition underscores her versatility and dedication.

In documenting the expedition's progress and its findings, Pom's work will play a crucial role in communicating the expedition's discoveries and the broader messages about climate change and its impacts.
 
Pom's blend of creative talent, scientific acumen, and compassionate leadership makes her an integral part of the expedition team.

As an active supporter of various mental health-related charities for many years, her experience and expertise will be invaluable in ensuring that the team remains mentally resilient throughout their journey.

Pom is a seasoned polar explorer, with two significant expeditions with Rosie Stancer to both the North and South Poles, cementing their strong working relationship and mutual trust. Her extensive experience in extreme environments makes her an indispensable member of the team.


Notable Expeditions

- North and South Pole Expeditions: Participated in multiple polar expeditions, gaining extensive experience in extreme conditions.

- Monarch’s Way (2020): During COVID-19 travel restrictions, Pom and Rosie walked the full length of the Monarch’s Way, retracing King Charles II’s escape route.

- Aral Kum Expedition (2021): Teamed up with Rosie to cross the Aral Kum, one of the world's youngest deserts, highlighting environmental and climate issues.
